Tree Height Measurements

The current GLOBE Teahcers Guide does not contain instructions for measuring tree height when the observer is not at the same level as the base of the tree being measured. These four illustrations show how to carry this out in a variety of situations. They will be included in the new release of Land Cover matterials scheduled for late Fall 2001.
